Torino-based Vado, a company that aims to bridge the gap between smart storage solutions and delivery apps, has secured over €440K in a Seed round of funding.
The round consists of €394K from private investors and €50K in debt from Banca Sella, positioning the company for international expansion across Europe.
Vending automatic delivery operations
Founded in 2020, Vado’s software integrates smart storage solutions with delivery platforms like Glovo, Deliveroo, JustEat, and UberEats, enabling businesses to streamline their delivery and takeaway operations with 24/7 automated sales.
The company’s technology allows businesses to connect to multiple delivery platforms, automating online orders to optimise delivery operations. According to Vado, automating online orders saves customers time and money.
Vado mentions, “Our customers have seen a significant increase in their revenue after implementing our software. On average, our customers double their vending machine revenue.”
Andrea T. Orlando, President of the Board at Vado, says, “I think VADO is the best example of a hidden champion in a not mainstream industry. cases like this reveal the biggest upsights for investors. Unique product, hungry clients. All you need is execution. And the VADO team is all about that.”
Capital utilisation
With the new funding, Vado plans to scale its presence across Europe and continue its innovations in the automated retail sector.
Cristobal Alonso, CEO of Startup Wise Guys, says, “The results from Vado are already incredible, but the most exciting part is the growth opportunities in various industries that this team is capitalising on.”
“This round will enable them to further tap into those opportunities. With the addition of Andrea Orlando as a key team member, they’re adding top talent and preparing to scale on an international level.”
